<description>Kinda sad huh, to leave life at such a young age. The greatest tragedy.

Yeah, what matters most is how u live life. Chiang must have had realised his passion at 13 when he decided to take up physics. Most of us would just bounce about wherever the winds may take us to. I think its great to hold fast to ur passion, and let it lead u thru life. Then life becomes more meaningful than just struggling to get up at 6am everyday.

And when u leave this world, u can proudly carve on ur gravestone: "Here lies Chiang Ti Ming, died fighting for the advancement of Physics".

And not: "Here lies Johan Siow, died fighting to get up at 6am in the morning".

Yup, ur right, alot of parents tend to push their children into the realm of "prefectionism" ie. must get 10 A+, must be top student, must be smarter than Ali next door etc. This has created a whole new generation of super-kiasu ppl...

Problem is, most parents weren't trained in parenting, they pick it up "informally" from their parents, who in turn picked it up from their parents, who probably didnt know anything about parenting.

Kesian ur parents le, most of the time it's "trial and error" for em...
